Adoption Program

Fish Adoption
Exotic or non-native fish and related aquarium livestock are coming up more and more in the news these days.

Example: On any given day you can find Plecostomus in the St. John's River, even Oscars and other Cichlids.

While this may sound cool to some, it is very harmful to our environment and over time this can change our native ecosystems possibly forever.
Therefore Aquariance is offering Adoption Services for those who find they can no longer care for their aquatic pets. No matter the reason. If you cannot give them away or sell them, we'll take them, no matter the species. We accept for both freshwater and saltwater.

Here's how the program benefits all that are involed:
1. It aims to reduce the amount of non-native fish species that are being dumped into our local waterways.
2. The program is designed to promote the welfare of the captive fish, exotic or otherwise.
3. Reduce or eliminate the possibility to transfer non-native pathogens to native fish species.
4. Reduce or eliminate the additional depletion of the natural food source of native fish species by reducing or eliminating the introduction of non-native fish.
5. We come to you and pickup the Adoptees. No worry and hassle with trying to package and move your pets safely and keep your car dry.

If you would like to adopt or have fish you would like to give up for adoption please contact us!

We even accept inverts, live rock and corals.
